Writing
Hello, I'm Paige Fulton.
I'm a multidisciplinary artist - a visual and sonic storyteller inspired by nature and life and chaos, patterns and ancestors. I love DIY outsider art and experimenting with new mediums. Freaks and lovers of the spiral are welcome.

Zines
Making books is a part of my art practice, and I am committed to publishing radical, underground work. I make zines and artist books inspired by ancestors, magic, nature, chaos, dreams, drugs, memories, and the surrealism of life and death. My work incorporates classic punk DIY aesthetics (my roots) into deconstructed comics with visual narrative building. More than anything, I am a storyteller who uses painting, photography, scanner manipulations, and other mediums to tell layered stories.
Theory
Practice
DA HOLOGRAM was first inspired by Soul Talk by Akasha Hull, which explores the collective-consciousness-bearing-synchronistic works of Black femme creatives in the 1990s. This was the first time I had encountered holographic matrix theory from a Black feminist perspective, and from there DA HOLOGRAM, in all its iterations, was born.
Time Spirals
I'M ON A RISO PRINTING JOURNEY. I fell in love with the process in Mexico City, learning from the DIY punk community while making collaborative zines and solo projects. Since returning to NYC, I’ve continued this printing and publishing practice as an artist in residence at RisoLAB (2023) and in collaboration with Endless Editions. As a “process artist,” the resonance, texture, and material experimentation are central to my work. Bookmaking is a way for me and my art to show up and be in relation with the public, and explore intimacies and scale.
DA HOLOGRAM has exhibited at MoMA PS1, East Village Zine Fair, Hell Dorado Zine Fair, Black Zine Fair, and Richmond Zine Fest. My work is held in the Barnard Library and the artist book collection at the Watson Library at the Met.
